Can’t Make It To The Tailor? Here’s How To Make Your Clothes Fit Anyway

January 6, 2016

I’ve found that getting your clothes to fit perfectly straight off the rack is next to impossible! When sorting through your closet you’ll always find a piece of clothing that you really like but haven’t worn because it has to go to the tailor. But from taking forever to get out of bed, rushing to work or school then catering to all our other interests, somehow we never seem to have the time to go to the tailor. With these few styling tricks you wont have to go to the tailor after all.

Problem: Jeans That Are Too Long

Solution: Cuff Your Jeans Like A Pro – It’s not difficult, simply cuff your pants once over to the desired length, no scrunching, or tucking required. That’s it.

Problem: The Loose Straps– If you have a short torso 8/10 times when you purchase a loose fitting jumpsuits the straps will be droopy.

Solution: Tie & Lift – Take a silk scarf and tie the two straps together in the back.

     Problem: Over sized Waist

Solution: The Waist Cinch– All you need is a belt. The waist cinching trend is back, and you can make a pair of pants way more flattering by hiking them up and wrapping a big belt over the top.

I can’t guarantee that belting every pair of pants that don’t fit well will automatically make them look better. However, the key to getting more wears out of every item in your closet is to reinvent and come up with ways to make your pieces work, before you end up spending money you really didn’t need to be spending to get your clothes altered.
